Kershaw 1556BW - Cryo II- Blackwash©
Model: KW1556BW

our Largest Cryo-Now in BlackWash

The popular Cryo II gets a BlackWash finish. BlackWash gives a knife that already-broken-in look-like your favorite pair of well worn jeans. But that's not all. It also provides an extra measure of protection for the metal and helps hide any additional scratches you may put on the knife during normal use.

The Cryo II is the result of collaboration between Rick Hinderer and the design and production engineers at Kershaw. The original Cryo (model 1555TI) was selected as a Blade Show “Best Buy' and was chosen as Men's Journal Approved Gear.

Like all Cryos, this BlackWashed version is equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening for smooth and easy one-handed opening. Access it with the built-in flipper or thumbstud.

The blade steel is heat treated to Kershaw's exacting standards. The handle is stainless steel with a sturdy frame lock to securely lock the blade open during use. A Hinderer lockbar stabilizer ensures the lock doesn't over-extend. For maximum carry flexibility and discretion, the BlackWash Cryo II includes a four-position deep-carry pocketclip.

KERSHAW
Kershaw 1835TBLKST - Kuro
Model: KW1835TBLKST

your next must-have knife

All eyes turn to you when you take the Kershaw Kuro out of your pocket and put it to work. The Kuro offers standout looks - and standout function. The blade is a modified - or Americanized - tanto with partial serration and a drop point. It has two primary blade grinds: at the tip and along the edge. This gives the Kuro a strong piercing tip with plenty of steel behind the tip to provide strength. The belly-less edge provides good slashing capability while the partial blade serration offers versatility for cutting fibrous materials with ease.

For speedy, one-handed opening, the Kuro has SpeedSafe assisted opening, accessed with the built-in flipper. Just pull back on the flipper blade protrusion to start the blade out of the handle. Then the SpeedSafe torsion bar takes over and the knife opens easily, ready for use. The ambidextrous flipper works perfectly for both lefties and righties.

The handle scales are glass-filled nylon for durability and dimensional stability, even in temperature extremes. The eye-catching pattern on the scales offers additional grip traction and looks like nothing else. A sturdy locking liner secures the blade open until you release it.

Kershaw ERIS
Model: KW1881

Known as the troublemaker of the Greek pantheon, Eris was always stirring up jealousy. Now Kershaw's Eris folder could do the same the first time you take it out of your pocket to show it off to your buds.

Eris has a modified drop-point blade with an attractive top swedge. Made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, Kershaw gives the blade a two-tone finish: stonewashed on the grinds and saten on the flats. 8Cr13MoV takes and holds a good edge, yet resharpening—when the time comes—isn't a pain. Blade access is fast, easy, and one-handed thanks to SpeedSafe assisted opening.

Eris' handsome blade is paired with a pure stainless steel handle, titanium carbo-nitride coated in soft matte grey. A sturdy frame lock secures the blade during use. The handle is contoured just enough for comfort and offers a built-in lanyard hole. With its solid steel handle, the Eris is substantial—taking after its other namesake. (The celestial Eris is the most massive dwarf planet in our solar system.) MMMM, FATBACK

No, the Fatback does not have a fat back. In fact, it has a rather slim handle. But to ensure you always have an extra secure grip, it does have some extra fat texturing on its glass-filled nylon handle.

Actually, we call it the Fatback because it's one very tasty knife. Like bacon.

The handsome blade is a modified drop-point with a dagger-like shape. The 8CrMoV blade steel, with Kershaw's precision heat treatment, provides long-lasting edge retention, as well as strength and hardness. Black-oxide coating offers an additional measure of blade protection and non-reflectivity.

The Fatback opens with Kershaw's SpeedSafe assisted opening for smooth, one-handed opening. The pivot is oversized and decorative. The handle is drilled to support our four-position pocketclip—so you can carry tip-up/down, left/right, whatever your preferred carry position. And finally, the Fatback's deep-carry pocketclip lets the knife ride securely and comfortably low in the pocket.

KERSHAW
Kershaw 1990 - Brawler
Model: KW1990

Mix it up with the Brawler

The Brawler starts with a modified tanto blade - a shape often found in tactical and rescue knives that may be required to punch through tough materials.

The tanto is an ideal shape for these piercing tasks because there is plenty of metal to support the point, making it stronger than many other blade shapes. You'll notice that the top of the Brawler's blade has a grind, too. This is called a swedge; it helps narrow the blade, adding to its piercing power. At the same time, the Brawler's straight belly offers excellent cutting capacity, is perfect for bearing down on a task, and is easy to resharpen.

All this makes the Brawler an excellent utility knife. The Brawler's handle is just as functional. The angled handle curves into the palm of the user's hand. Jimping on the back of the blade offers additional traction. With the blade deployed, the flipper doubles as a finger guard and provides additional hand protection during knife use. For fast and easy one-handed opening, the Brawler is equipped with SpeedSafe. Just pull back on the blade protrusion and the SpeedSafe assisted opening system takes over, moving the blade out of the handle, ready for use.

Sturdy glass-filled nylon handle scales, a secure locking liner, and our four-position Quad-Carry pocketclip complete the package.

KERSHAW
Kershaw 3475 - Boilermaker
Model: KW3475

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AND A UNIQUE FINISH

Boilermakers are known for their skill at metalwork. So Kershaw and Les George took inspiration from their craftsmanship to build the new Boilermaker. This all-stainless-steel folder is designed to perform well in the hands of any tradesmanand anyone else who wants a distinctive, yet practical, pocketknife.

The Boilermaker's modified drop-point blade is quality 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. Its 3.3-inch cutting edge will make quick work of boxes, rope, and whatever else you're cutting. Jimping on the blade's spine provides extra cutting control. The blade opens quickly and easily with SpeedSafe assisted opening and the handy flipper.

The Boilermaker's criss-cross, open handle construction is reminiscent of supporting structures like the beams on a bridge. In the Boilermaker's case, these cutouts help relieve weight. Another cutout near the front of the handle reveals the Kershaw logo lasered on the inside of the back handle. (Normally, we'd put our logo on the blade. But in this case, the front of the blade is totally clean.) Then we gave both handle and blade a brown PVD coating and stonewashed them. This finish gives the Boilermaker an industrial look and provides an additional measure of protection for the steel.

The Boilermaker's backspacer features a decorative diagonal pattern, but it also has a function. The deep-carry pocketclip is anchored in an internal pocket in the handle, secured with the same screw that also holds the backspacer in place. This means there are no pocketclip screws to snag when sliding the knife in or out of your pocketso it's always smooth and easy to put this Boilermaker to work.

Kershaw 3490 - Seguin
Model: KW3490

OUTSTANDING LOOKS, PRACTICAL FUNCTION

With a Les George design, functionality is always Job 1. You'll see it on full display in the new Seguin ( inchsig-EEN inch). It has everything knife enthusiasts have come to expect from Les' knives and more. Because in addition to its practicality, the Seguin also offers truly eye-catching style.

At nearly 5 ounces, the all-stainless-steel Seguin feels solid in-hand. It opens with authority thanks to Kershaw's SpeedSafe assisted opening and a substantial flipper. Added jimping on the flipper gives it additional inchtooth inch so it's even easier to open your knife. The Seguin's 3.1-inch blade is a perfect, mid-sized option for a full range of cutting tasks. The 8Cr13MoV blade steel takes a mean edge and is easy to re-sharpen. Gray PVD coating enhances hardness and protects the blade.

The durable stainless steel handle stands up to just about any working conditionhot, cold, wet, or dry. Les even included his characteristic index finger contour for greater blade control. But it's the handle's heavily machined texture that immediately gets attention. Additional line texturing can be found on the aluminum backspacer, giving the Seguin an attractive, integrated appearance.

The single-position deep-carry pocketclip wraps around the handle into an internal pocket, where it's secured with the backspacer screws. This means that the knife slides easily into its deep-carry position, without any pocketclip screws obstructing the path to the pocket.

And in case you were wondering, Les named the Seguin in honor of Juan Segun, a hero of the Texas Revolution.

Kershaw 3560 - Ember
Model: KW3560

A Small Knife with Spitfire Style

Kershaw and Rick Hinderer have teamed up to bring you a smaller pocketknife with plenty of style, the Kershaw Ember.

The first thing you'll notice, of course, is the Ember's size. The blade is just two inches long and, when closed, the knife is a compact 2.8 inches. But the next thing you'll notice is the Ember's striking looks. Angles, contours, matte-grey coating, and black hardware give it a tactical look-and-feel that we think knife users will really warm up to.

For easy opening, the Ember features SpeedSafe® assisted opening and a handy, built-in flipper. The modified clip-point blade has an ergonomic top curve, which gives the user a convenient place to position an index finger when guiding the knife's edge in a close-cutting situation. A sturdy frame lock secures the blade in position for safe use.

The blade is heat treated to Kershaw's demanding specifications to bring out the very best qualities in the steel. Titanium carbo-nitride coating on both blade and handle give the Ember a matte grey finish. Black hardware, including the three-position pocketclip, enhances this little knife's look.

Easy to carry in pocket, briefcase, or backpack, the new Ember from Kershaw and Rick Hinderer packs a lot of style into a small package.

Designed by RJ Martin, the Volt II has the same versatile blade and handle style as the original Volt, but with a hardworking 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade and textured, black glass-filled nylon scales. KERSHAW
Kershaw 3860 - Oblivion
Model: KW3860

TWO-PIECE FRONT HANDLE SCALE ADDS INTEREST, KEEPS THE LOOK CLEAN

The Oblivion is prepared to obliterate any cutting task in its path. With its industrial look, this modern folder is bound to impress in both style and performance.

For style, the Oblivion combines stainless steel and glass-filled nylon in a two-piece front scalenot easy to do. What's more, since the Oblivion opens with SpeedSafe assisted opening, there has to be a place for the SpeedSafe mechanism to go. Usually, it's positioned in a small, internal hollow in the handle. But to date, we had only placed that mechanism in single-material handle scales. With the Oblivion, for the first time, we integrated SpeedSafe into a two-piece front scale. The result is a unique inchsplit profile inch look, plus smooth, one-handed SpeedSafe opening.

The Oblivion's substantial 3.5-inch blade of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel offers top performance, too. This quality steel takes a sharp edge and re-sharpens easily when needed. And while the Oblivion's cutting edge is fairly straight, it also has enough belly to make it a reliable multi-tasking blade. The angular handle has been smoothed for a comfortable grip and a small finger contour enhances grip even more.

A sturdy frame lock secures the blade open for safe use. We also added an over-travel stop to keep the lock from moving too faror inchover traveling inchwhen closing. The Oblivion also features a reversible deep-carry pocketclip, or left- or right-handed carry. A large, trapezoid-shaped lanyard hole adds to the aesthetics and makes it easy to secure a lanyard to customize your knife.

Packed with features, the Oblivion shows what a modern flipper knife can be. A value price just makes the Oblivion sweeter.

Technical Specifications

Flipper
May be used on either manual or assisted opening knives. The “flipper' is a protrusion on the back of the blade that the user can pull back on, or flip, in order to move the blade easily out of the handle.

SpeedSafe®
Assists you to open any SpeedSafe® knife quickly and easily with a manual push on the thumbstud or pull back on the flipper; built into many Kershaw best sellers.

Frame Lock
A portion of the handle (the knife frame) moves behind the blade to lock it into position during use. This is a safety feature of the knife.

Reversible
Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.

KERSHAW
Kershaw FLITCH
Model: KW3930

A bold blade and contoured grip could make the Flitch your new favorite EDC. With a modified drop-point blade, top swedge, and strong finger contouring, the Flitch offers a tactical look at a value price.

The eye-catching blade is made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, which can take and hold a sharp edge, yet resharpens easily. Then Kershaw's heat treatment brings out the best in this top-value steel. The blade is stonewashed to help hide hard use scratches. The result is a very distinctive looking blade that performs well, too. The handle is glass-filled nylon, textured and chamfered for a solid, comfortable grip. Pair that with the deep finger grooves on the underside of the handle and the Flitch offers an exceptionally secure grip. A sturdy liner lock keeps the blade in place during use, then releases easily when you're ready to EDC it.

Equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening and a built-in flipper, the Flitch opens quickly and easily. For convenient carry, it also features a reversible, deep-carry pocketclip that enables the knife to ride well down in your pocket, nice and secure.

KERSHAW
Kershaw BARSTOW
Model: KW3960

The Barstow is a little wicked and a lot of value. It's a folding dagger and everything about this slim, sleek blade is simple, direct, and ready.

The straight spear-point blade, sharpened on a single side, is made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with Kershaw's BlackWash coating for a non-reflective, “already-broken-in' look. The coating not only helps protect the blade, but also hides use scratches. The handle has glass-filled nylon scales with heavy arrow-patterned texturing to enhance grip. A stout steel liner, also with non-reflective BlackWash, provides an equally stout liner lock to secure the blade open during use.

Even better, the Barstow opens quickly and easily with SpeedSafe assisted opening and the built-in flipper. All the hardware is black—with the notable exception of the Barstow's tube spacers, which are anodized in blue for a touch of subtle color and eye-catching interest. For convenient and discreet carry, the deep-carry pocketclip enables the knife to ride low in the pocket and is left/right reversible.

KERSHAW
Kershaw NATRIX
Model: KW7007

Where have I seen that profile before? That's right. The new Kershaw Natrix is based on brother brand Zero Tolerance's 0770, which itself was inspired by the award-winning ZT 0777. The design has—apparently—been the envy of certain other knifemakers. And now we're taking it back.

Kershaw's new Natrix features a drop-point blade of 8Cr13MoV that offers solid performance with good edge-holding and easy resharpening. The stonewashed blade finish looks good and even helps hide use scratches. Accessed with the built-in flipper, SpeedSafe assisted opening makes it easy to open the Natrix one-handed so it's always ready when you need it. The handle is lightweight G-10, 3D-machined and chamfered to fit comfortably in the hand. An oversized pivot provides an attention-grabbing detail on the front of the knife, while our patented Sub-Frame Lock secures the blade and provides a dramatic, contrasting line on the back.

The Sub-Frame Lock design also enables us to lighten the weight of the Natrix, so that you get a big, useful blade in a knife that still weighs in at a mere 2.9 ounces. A decorative aluminum backspacer lightens the load even further and adds another embellishment. Finally, a custom-designed deep-carry pocketclip echoes the lines of a special recess machined into the handle to complete this good-looking knife. The manufacturer's suggested retail price for the Natrix is $59.99.

Now the next time you see this famous knife profile, it will be from a manufacturer that has a right to the design: us.

Specifications:

  • SpeedSafe® assisted opening
  • Steel Sub-Frame Lock
  • Flipper
  • Reversible deep-carry (left/right, tip-up) pocketclip
