Q. What are the differences between the shopping cart packages?

Business Cart #1 - is a stand alone shopping cart system that you (the user) can add your inventory of products to. It does not include the Ohio Knife inventory.
Business Cart #2 - is a stand alone shopping cart system that includes all of the Ohio Knife inventory but you (the user) cannot add any additional inventory.
Business Cart #3 - is a stand alone shopping cart system that includes all of the Ohio Knife inventory and you (the user) can add additional inventory.
Business Pro Cart - is the same as business cart three but included is the domain name, secure ssl certificate, dedicated IP address, cart customization and automatic backup service.

Q. What is a secure ssl.

A. The SSL protocol is the Web standard for encrypting communications between users and SSL (secure sockets layer) e-commerce sites. Data sent via an SSL connection is protected by encryption, a mechanism that prevents eavesdropping and tampering with any transmitted data. SSL provides businesses and consumers with the confidence that private data sent to a Web site, such as credit card numbers, are kept confidential. Web server certificates (also known as secure server certificates or SSL certificates) are required to initialize an SSL session.

Customers know when they have an SSL session with a website when their browser displays the little gold padlock and the address bar begins with a https rather than http.

Q. Do I need a Secure SSL Certificate?

A. Yes, if you want to see your buyers credit card information you need a Secure SSL Certificate installed on your domain.

Q. What is a dedicated IP address?

A. A dedicated I.P. address is an I.P. address that is reserved just for you. In other words it is dedicated to you. With a dedicated I.P. address your site is the only site hosted on the I.P. address.

Q. When would I need a dedicated I.P. address?

A. You would need a dedicated I.P. address if you need a Secure SSL Certificate installed..

Q. I already have a domain name, can I use it for my shopping cart?

A. Yes

Q. I already have web-hosting can I have the shopping cart system installed on my current hosting account?

A. No, the licenses agreement for the shopping cart system only allow it to be installed on a server operated by Bantas Creek Productions. However, an independent licenses can be purchased which will allow the shopping cart to be installed on any web-hosting service capable of running it.

Q. What is your Automatic Backup Service?

A. We install a script that will automatically backup the database that contains all of your shopping carts data. The files that make up the shopping cart along with the product images are not backed up automatically. The information contained in the database is vital to restoring your shopping cart should something happen to cause a total loss of data. When the database is backed-up and a zipfile containing the backup information is emailed to you, it's also stored on the sever along with our shopping cart and it's stored off site in a secure vault as well.

Q. Can I have email addresses?

A. Yes, you can have as many email addresses as you like?
